If you'd like to eliminate the danger of slack lines from a hard landing with a bounce, these shocks are for you! Increase your margin of safety by upgrading your suspension with a pair of Shock Monster 2.0 shocks.

Improved performance in rough terrain as well is less stress on your body and aircraft from a hard landing during a gust or changing wind. Make safer landings ever time when the shock absorbs the vertical energy and keeps you on the ground.

Available for these models:

P-3 Lite

Legend

Paragon

Skyeryder II AB

If you have a PPC that uses a similar suspension system and you'd like to see how Shock Monster can help your landings, call or email us for more information.

4.50 inches of travel. Special shaft and piston design allows for the best compression ratio and most radical valving anyone has seen in aviation.

The top mounting bolt spacing is typically 1.50" from inside of brace too inside of bracket. The lower is typically 1.75". We prefer to use an AN6 (.375") bolt when upgrading to the Shock Monster shocks. This is the correct size bolt for the vertical energy these shocks can take.

Just before shipping we will ask to confirm the bolt to bolt length your Six Chuter requires. The measurement we want is a static resting length with the tires square to the ground (no camber of the tires). To get this measurement you may need to ask a friend to sit in the seat or add some weight until the tires are square.

We're offering you a product with limitless adjustments. Each pilot may like a setting slightly different from each other. You won't know exactly what you like the most until you've tried them.....so we'll send you something in the middle. One you have the length we'll be sure to make as many of the tuning adjustments before shipping to minimize your work in installation.

Extension tubes can be custom designed allowing fitment to most any airframe. These shocks are aircraft aluminum with ever bit of weight savings and strength designed right in. insanely light weight and no coil springs required.

SKYOTE AIRCRAFT
Our Price: $1,200.00
Nitrogen charged air shock assembly.

THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES 2 MAIN GEAR SHOCK ASSEMBLIES.

The standard 1.50 shock package is perfect for a typical 250 lbs empty weight ultralight, powered parachute, and gyros.

If you have an aircraft exceeding 400 lbs, it's best to go with the extreme shock package which includes the larger 2.00 shocks.
Call for more details if you're unsure which option works best for you.

Light weight but not light on performance. Our custom valved air shocks are designed for aircraft looking for the harshest landing zones and highest margin of safety.

Our special shaft and piston design allows for the best compression ratio and most radical valving anyone has seen in aviation.

These shocks are aircraft aluminum with ever bit of weight savings and strength designed right in. The 1.50 shocks are 2.2-3.8 lbs and the 2.00 shocks are 2.5-4.0 lbs.

If you are currently running a coil system, this will be about the same weight but give you complete hydraulic shock damning reducing bounce and greatly reduce the chance of bottoming out the suspension which is what breaks parts and risks your life.

Some aircraft are using other manufactures shocks. Chances are excellent we can save you a great deal of weight and give you a completely different feel and added margin of safety during hard landings. Call for more specific details for your aircraft.

These struts are designed for a Kitfox with a Cub type gear leg and cabane vee or some other type of center mount point under the belly of the aircraft. If you have bungees that install to the bottom of the seat frames, you'll either need new gear legs or modify your existing legs.

Light weight but not light on performance. Our custom valved air shocks are designed for bush planes looking for the harshest landing zones this planet has to offer. Our special shaft and piston design allows for the best compression ratio and most radical valving anyone has seen in aviation. Anodized aluminum shocks and nickel plated chromoly heat treated steel frames for incredible strength and beauty.

9 hole completely revalveable piston design.
Chromoly rod end bearings.
Dual seals and dual o-ring used to ensure proper sealing.

How does it work? Simple......we convert the tension motion that occurs during landing and turn that into a compression motion with the use of the frames. Then the shocks manage the force and rebound energy to keep you on the ground and in control.

These shocks are available in 2 diameters for the Kitfox:

If you have a Kitfox 1-5 with a light weight motor package and an empty weight of 700 lbs or less, you need the 1.75" shock package.

If you have a Kitfox 7 or a 1-5 with a heavier motor and empty weight of 800 lbs or more, you need the 2.0" shock package. Or if you have a 1-5 model and you pack it full of moose meat and enough camping gear for the summer, go with the bigger shocks.

The clevis ends are designed for an AN-6 bolt. This is the correct size bolt for the load these shocks can take. Your Kitfox likely has smaller bolts. You can either drill out your gear legs and cabane to use the larger AN-6 bolts or we will supply a reducer sleeve to your smaller bolts.

4.50" of shock travel is about 12-14" at the wheel.

Completely oil dampened. We eat up all that stored energy created in the landing compression by sending oil through a very complex series of holes and valves in a dynamic piston. This piston has a patented design that changes based on the type of landing you make. This makes our system the best for soft, medium, and holy crap landings!

Redundant dual shock setup always keeps you safe.
No old school coil springs required.

What makes our shocks so much better than everyone else's.......Large displacement lower pressure. We've developed a modular design into our shocks that allow us to fit a diameter shock that works best for your aircraft. In other words: Company Z might only have one diameter shock with one shaft size. You see the shaft size is the magic to an air/oil shock. The larger the diameter - the more load it can hold. So Company Z with their limited shock size needs to add way way too much nitrogen to their shocks to hold the load because the shaft is too small. In our case we can just increase the shaft size to get you right in the sweet spot. A shock works best with the pressure set between 140-300 psi. Too low of a pressure and the shock valve doesn't react fast enough. Too high of a pressure and the shock valve is unstable.

Our shocks are used in the compression struck during landing. This is the correct way to design a shock. So how do we make this work when the crappy coil or bungee system is in tension during your landing.....simple. We build a completely heat treated chromoly frame assembly to convert the tension motion of landing into a compression motion for the shock. This gives you the safest most reliable combination possible. Since the aluminum shocks have no side loads and no tension at any point (aluminum in tension is a horrible idea due to fatigue), you're never in risk of a broken shock like other systems. Your entire airframe is built from chromoly for a reason. It's light weight, incredibly strong, and handles forces in all direction. Our heat treated chromoly frames are nickel plated and teflon coated for wear and corrosion resistance. Heat treating of all the frame components is like supercharging their life and strength. It equalizes the molecular structures and allows everything to relaxed giving you a long life.

How about adjustability...... YES!!! In aviation we're so used to a setup that's the same for every aircraft in that model. But that's not fair, our needs and likes are the same. Well we have a solution for that too. Our shock system is way way way adjustable. You get to decide how much Sag YOU want in your aircraft and what taxi height YOU want. Because of our long travel suspension you're never limited to just a small window of adjustment like everyone else. You can truly custom taylor for your mission.

How about upgradability........you're not just buying a product for today, you're buying a completely upgradable package for the life of your aircraft. Each year we travel the country to amazing places with awesome pilots. And each year we find something that works just a little bit better. Rather than have Generation 1-100, We just have one Generation that we can revalve to the newest best settings. Most of the time we don't need any parts, just 30 minutes of time that can be done in the field.

Made entirely in the UNITED STATES by pilots for pilots.

Don't settle for cheap copies or old technology

Buy the best once from the winners in aviation suspension.
