THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES 2 MAIN GEAR SHOCK STRUTS

4.75" shock travel is 12-14" at the tire.

These struts are designed for a Kitfox with a Cub type gear leg and cabane vee or some other type of center mount point under the belly of the aircraft. If you have bungees that install to the bottom of the seat frames, you'll either need new factory cabane style gear legs, Shock Monster cabane gear legs, or modify your existing legs.

Light weight but not light on performance. Our custom valved air shocks are designed for bush planes looking for the harshest landing zones this planet has to offer. Our special shaft and piston design allows for the best compression ratio and most radical valving anyone has seen in aviation. These shocks are aircraft aluminum with ever bit of weight savings and strength designed right in.

Black anodized aluminum shocks. Nickel plated chromoly heat treated steel frames for incredible strength and beauty then powder coated black for additional corrosion resistance.


How does it work? Simple......we convert the tension motion that occurs during landing and turn that into a compression motion with the use of the frames. Then the shocks manage the force and rebound energy to keep you on the ground and in control. Nitogen sets your taxi height and oil does the dampening.

Kitfox shocks come in 2 diameters:

If you have a Kitfox 1-4 with a light weight motor package and an empty weight of 750 lbs or less and fly 1200 gross or less, you need the 1.75" shock package.

If you have a Kitfox 5-7 with a heavier motor and empty weight of 750 lbs or more and fly 1550 or less, you need the 2.0" shock package.

The clevis ends are designed for an AN-6 bolt. This is the correct size bolt for the load these shocks can take. Your Kitfox likely has smaller bolts. You can either drill out your gear legs and cabane to use the larger AN-6 bolts or we will supply a reducer sleeve to your smaller bolts.
